Day 19 - Genous Sunrise

This is the juice I love to make every morning:

Genous Sunrise
1 apple
2 oranges
1/2 lemon
1 carrot
2 kale stalks
a little cilantro
a little parsley

Sometimes I add ginger and/or a little habanero pepper to the juice. It makes about 16 oz. I don't make a lot of it because I don't like to drink citrus juices all day. It's great for the morning, especially if you like oranges juice. Try it and tell me what you think.

Do you take vitamins or supplements on your juice fast/feast? Why or why not? How about enemas? I received a sample of vitamins and I did take them today. I also bought an enema at the beginning of the fast but I've never used it. I don't know if there is a need for it or if there are benefits of using an enema when you're not "stopped up." Please let me know your thoughts.

My counselor wanted me to start eating dinner on my juice fast and all that did was heighten my need for snacks at night. I had crazy cravings all night. So much so that I didn't sleep well at all. I had to take a sleeping pill just to go to sleep. I won't be doing that again. I'm going to stick with not eating but be on a juice fast/feast. I don't want to "cheat" anymore.

I've been getting the best sleep on this juice fast. I also wake up with the so much energy in the morning. It's great. Just imagine how it would've been had I not eaten at all these past 19 days. The weight loss would’ve been amazing and the energy would’ve been off the chain.

Lunch and dinner today will consist of Green Juice.

Day 16 - Weigh In

SW: 235.4 pounds
CW: 225.4 pounds
10 pound loss

If you are on a juice fast, normally you will lose about 15-20 pounds or more by day 16.  But because I cheated a lot, I'm happy with the 10 pounds loss. 

The next time I weigh myself will be at the 30 day mark.  My plan is to do a total of 75 days, with the last 60 days being consecutive juice fasting days.  I will be weighing myself at day 30, 45, 60 and the day after day 75.  My goal is to be cured of my OAS and adult acne and lose 60 pounds. 

I've noticed that my nails are growing faster and thicker.  I also have noticed that my acne is gone.  That time of the month (TOM) was here last week and I had no acne before or during the visit.  That is unusual for me.  I normally have crazy breakouts. 

I went to see a counselor regarding my food addiction.  (See my video for more information.)  I've decided to stop using my food addiction as an excuse.  I have to get it together!!!!  Get 'er done!!!!

Day 11 - A Lemon Ginger Blast Day

7:30am:  Feeling kinda groggy so I decided to make Green Lemon Ginger Blast this morning.  Here's the recipe I used.

Green Lemon Ginger Blast
Bunch of Spinach
2 Apples
1 Lemon
1 inch of Ginger
1/2 Cucumber
1/3 Habanero pepper

It is yummy!

8:16pm:  Had Green Lemon Ginger Blast for lunch and dinner.  I really like this juice. 

Juicing makes me feel good.  I feel like I'm loving my body and my body is falling in love with me.   It's a hard feeling to describe.  I'm just so glad I'm back and focused!

Feeling very hopeful and focused today!  Onward and Upward!!!

Day 9 - Food Addictions Are Soooo Real

Today was a rough day today and I medicated with Food.  I'm so pissed at myself but by morning I will forgive myself.   Got some really bad personal news and it affected my mind.  I ate my daughters cookies....all of them. 

 
I'm so ashamed. 

I'm going to go to bed and I'll do a video about it tomorrow.

Day 8 - Weigh in day

I should have lost more weight this week but I've made a few mistakes:

1) Coconut Sugar Water - lesson learned
2) Pizza - big no no on a juice fast (duh, right?)
3) No movement - you gotta keep moving
4) Not enough water - 80oz of water is important on a juice fast

So this week I will be working on getting my water in, move more and no food whatsoever.

Although I've had a few days of sugar withdrawals which included headaches and irritability, I feel pretty energetic today.

I'm looking forward to the results of next week!
